About Titlow Gate Services
Locally owned gate specialists serving Tacoma, WA and Pierce County since 2016
About Titlow Gate Services
Titlow Gate Services is a locally owned gate installation and repair company based in Tacoma, WA. Founded in 2016, the company was built around a simple goal: provide reliable, professionally executed gate services to residential and commercial property owners in the South Sound region without the runaround that comes with larger contractors.
Over the years, the business has grown steadily through referrals and repeat customers — a reflection of the approach taken on every project. We handle gate installation, automatic operator systems, access control integration, gate repair, welding and fabrication, and preventative maintenance across Tacoma and the surrounding Pierce County communities.
What sets us apart from other local gate contractors isn't scale — it's the attention each job receives. Customers get direct access to experienced professionals who are accountable for the outcome of every gate project they take on. That's been the operating model since 2016, and it hasn't changed.
Meet the Manager
Connor Ward
Manager — Titlow Gate Services
Connor Ward got into gate work after spending years in general contracting and realizing how often gates were treated as an afterthought. He started Titlow Gate Services to fix that — bringing the same standards of quality and accountability to gate installations that he'd applied throughout his contracting career.
What he cares most about is doing the job right the first time so customers aren't calling back with problems a month later. He stays involved in day-to-day operations, maintaining direct oversight of every project and remaining accessible to customers throughout the process.
Connor is straightforward with pricing and honest about what a customer actually needs — not just what creates the most work. That approach has driven the referral-based growth of Titlow Gate Services since its founding in Tacoma.
Our Service Philosophy
Code-Compliant Installations
Every installation meets applicable local codes and UL 325 safety standards. We use UL-listed operator components and follow proper entrapment protection requirements — not because it's required, but because it's the right way to do the job.
Doing the Job Right the First Time
Our service philosophy is straightforward: complete each job to a standard that holds up. That means accurate diagnostics before any repair, correct part selection, and proper installation technique — the kind of work that doesn't generate callbacks.
Direct Access to Experienced Technicians
Customers work directly with experienced gate professionals on every project. There's no dispatcher sending out a different crew each time. Continuity matters — it's part of how we provide consistent results and build long-term relationships with our customers.
Honest Pricing, Clear Communication
We provide straightforward pricing and clear explanations of what we recommend and why. If a repair isn't cost-effective, we'll say so. If a system needs replacement rather than a patch, we'll give you the full picture and let you make the decision.
Technical Standards
Titlow Gate Services installs UL-listed operator components and follows UL 325 safety standards for all automatic gate systems. UL 325 governs entrapment protection requirements for residential, commercial, and industrial gate operators — defining mandatory safety device configurations for different gate types and installation scenarios.
We stay current with manufacturer technical training and product updates for the operator systems we install and service. This matters for customers because it means we can accurately diagnose problems, correctly configure systems, and identify when a component has reached end-of-life before it causes a failure.
For commercial properties, we also ensure installations are compatible with any applicable fire department access requirements and local code provisions for vehicle access control systems. Our focus on compliance protects customers from liability and ensures systems perform as intended long-term.
